Description of the Workshop:

After a brief discussion about the projects we are working on and where we want to improve, there will be a writing exercise to focus on specific areas.

After a short break, we will have a chance to share what we are working on: it could be poetry, prose, play scripts, personal essays, or something else that does not start with 'p'. There is no pressure to share anything, and before we share anything, we will discuss what sort of feedback we are looking for. It could be about the use of language, the rhythm of the words, characterisation, pace, and so on.

A space to write, reflect, and connect with others in a relaxed and supportive environment.

About the facilitator:

I write for The International magazine, Data in Denmark Substack, and have written for the Copenhagen Post and Uniavisen. I won an award for Best Writer for my play 'Simon Says' at the Cabinteely International Youth Drama Festival.

I ran a writers' group for several years (before I had kids; it is totally true about the pram in the hallway). I have two new plays in development right now and a novel in editing hell. I am also writing a text adventure about the experience of being a trailing spouse. I am genre-blind and don't think that any form of creativity is elevated above others, so no one will make you feel bad for creating projects that light you up. Writers are all weirdos, as far as I am concerned, in a good way.
