Field notes
Autofiction, memoir, travel & slice of life.
A space where you can create freely.
This month we're writing about real life or something close to it. Autofiction, memoir, travel writing, slice of life: the true, the half-true, and the "this definitely happened…mostly."
Each hour is a handful of short, playful exercises. No pressure to share anything.
About the facilitator:
Over ten years ago I kept a travelogue and culture-shock-tracking blog (now defunct, and probably for the best). Later I wrote a column for the Copenhagen Post called You're Still Here?, which is a fair question for anyone who moves abroad and keeps accidentally staying.
I also write for The International magazine and the Data in Denmark Substack, and I won Best Writer for my play 'Simon Says' at Cabinteely International Youth Drama Festival. I have two new plays in development and a novel in editing hell. I am genre-blind and don't think any form of creativity is elevated above others. Writers are all weirdos, as far as I am concerned. In a good way.
